Life After Diets
With summer almost around the corner, I’m seeing more and more ads for diet products on my timeline and it’s doing my head in. Listen up - life is so much more than numbers on a scale. We come in many shapes and sizes, the notion that there is one way to be healthy, one way to be attractive, one way to be happy... is a lie. I doubt anyone ever looked back at their life on their death bed and thought “gosh, I wish I was skinnier”. What I think people might feel is a sense of missing out of things because they thought they were not the “right” shape/size to get involved. As a 45 year old women who spent her teens and twenties hating her body and trying every single diet under the sun pls believe me when I say that not only are you not what you weigh, but also your size is not what’s going to make you happy! I’ve been slim, I’ve been fat, I’ve been everything in between, and it’s only in recent years that I’ve accepted ME without judgment that I’ve truly found happiness and confidence in my own skin. In other words, wear the bikini ladies. Life is too short to sit it out 💪🏻🔥 #funny #bikini #summer #bikinibody #bodypositivity
